he has always been one of my favorite artists. i just love the beauty of his pure lines or his screams of angry marks. his works are just amazing.

Wow, I'm impressed. Aubrey Beardsley's one of my faves too. There are some vintage dresses and skirts with his prints that appear online from time to time; have yet to snag one though.

that's The Climax, if i remember it correctly.. painted 1893, or was it 95? not sure. but yes that's amazing. :)

his art style looks like a detailed version of linoleum prints... and sorta reminds me of ancient Japanese ink masterpieces.

uh huh, he used japanese-influenced marks but made them more graceful looking (art nouveau)

hehe... i had to look him up in wikipedia. u're right, he was influenced by Japanese "shunga" (probably the first hentai manga) and was the most controversial artist of the Art Nouveau era. idol! ^_^
